If you do any of the activities make sure to tag us in a photo on social media or use #smtsschooloffish
Our two competitions will close on 31 July 2020. Winners will receive a £20 book token, with a £50 book token going to the winners’ school. With your permission, we will also share the stories here, on the School of Fish website.
Do you – or your family – have a favourite seafood recipe? If you send it (with a picture) to firstname.lastname@example.org,
we’ll share on social media. If you’re looking for something to make, have a look at our recipes.
COMPETITION TIME – A seafood story
We’re inviting budding writers to tell us a tale based on Shetland seafood. It might be a story about a fisherman in the present day, an underwater adventure, or it might be based in the past – during the Haaf or herring eras. All we ask is that it’s based in Shetland and has a connection with fish and the sea.
We will create a page of entries and select an overall winner, who will not only receive an individual prize, but will also be awarded a prize for your class or school.
Please send your story, with you name, age, the name of your school and what class you are in to email@example.com
A fishy tale
Do your parents or grandparents have any memories or stories that have been passed down through the generations and relate to the seafood industry?
If so, we would love to share on our website. You can send us an audio or video
recording or write it down, and send to firstname.lastname@example.org
We will upload to the stories on our website.
